Privacy
No accounts. No calculator-input database. Financial values stay out of analytics and local convenience storage.
Current implementation
Marlecourt is designed so calculator use does not require an account and does not store your calculator inputs in an application database. Calculations are intended to run locally in your browser whenever practical.
- Financial values such as balances, income, rates, ages, tax assumptions, debt labels, asset labels, and results are not placed in page URLs for sharing or tracking.
- Those values are not included in analytics event payloads.
- Allowed analytics events are limited to non-sensitive metadata such as calculator IDs, goal-path IDs, and scenario field IDs — never financial values entered. Analytics is disabled by default (
NEXT_PUBLIC_ANALYTICS_ENABLED=false) and loads no script until explicitly enabled with an approved provider.
Local convenience preferences
The application may store non-financial convenience preferences locally in your browser using localStorage, such as:
- Recently opened calculator IDs
- Favorite calculator IDs
- Recently viewed goal-path IDs
Calculator financial inputs and results are not stored by these features. Favorites and recent-tool history are stored only as calculator identifiers in this browser.
Removes recent calculator IDs, favorite calculator IDs, and recent goal-path IDs stored in this browser. Does not affect financial calculator inputs — those are not saved by these features.
Advertising
Advertising infrastructure exists but is disabled by default (NEXT_PUBLIC_ADS_ENABLED=false). While ads are disabled, the site does not load ad-network scripts, make ad network requests, or reserve blank ad gaps. A separate layout-preview flag (NEXT_PUBLIC_ADS_PREVIEW) may show labeled placeholder boxes for placement review; that mode also does not load AdSense, request ads, or set ad cookies. If advertising is enabled later, third-party ad technology and that provider's policies may apply, consent requirements must be reassessed, and this page will be updated.
Hosting and updates
Hosting providers may collect standard technical logs (such as IP address, user agent, and request path) as part of serving the site. This policy describes the application's intentional behavior and will be updated when analytics, advertising, cookies, or hosting details change.
